Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the pecan smoked bacon until crispy. Once cooked, remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In the same skillet, using the bacon drippings, add the gourmet mushrooms. Sauté on medium heat until they are caramelized and tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burger Patty

In the skillet, cook the Angus beef burger patty to your desired doneness, approximately 4-5 minutes on each side for medium. During the last minute of cooking, place the cheddar cheese on top of the patty to melt.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Toast the Bread

Lightly toast the slices of sourdough bread in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Build the Burger

On one slice of toasted sourdough, layer the cooked burger patty with melted cheddar cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and crispy bacon. Drizzle Burger Co. sauce on top.

  3. 6

    Serve

Top with the second slice of toasted sourdough bread. Cut in half and serve immediately.
