Method

Cooking the Burger

  1. 1

    Prepare the Grill

Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burger Patty

Place the 6 oz Angus beef burger patty on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and add the slice of cheddar cheese on top. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the cheese is melted.

Preparing the Bacon

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate skillet, cook the 2 slices of pecan smoked bacon over medium heat until crispy (about 4-5 minutes). Remove from the skillet and let drain on paper towels.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 4

    Toast the Pretzel Bun

While the burger and bacon are cooking, toast the pretzel bun on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted pretzel bun, place the cooked Angus burger patty with melted cheddar. Top with crispy fried onion straws and the cooked bacon. Drizzle with honey BBQ sauce. Place the top half of the bun on the burger.
