Chicken and Wrap

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Coat the Chicken

Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one shallow dish, beat the egg in another dish, and put the panko breadcrumbs in a third dish. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in the egg, and then coat with panko breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Cook the Chicken

Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare the Wraps

While the chicken is baking, prepare your wrap ingredients: shred the lettuce, dice the tomato, and crumble the cooked bacon.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Wraps

Once the chicken is done, let it cool slightly before slicing it into strips. Lay a garlic herb tortilla flat. In the center, layer the sliced chicken, shredded lettuce, diced tomato, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar jack cheese, and drizzle with ranch dressing.

  3. 6

    Wrap It Up

Fold the sides of the tortilla inward and roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top to enclose the fillings. Repeat for the remaining tortillas.

  4. 7

    Serve

Cut the wraps in half diagonally and serve immediately with extra ranch dressing on the side if desired.
