Method
Tortilla Chips
- 1
Prepare the Corn Tortillas
Stack the corn tortillas and cut them into wedges (quarters).
- 2
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.
- 3
Fry the Tortilla Wedges
Carefully add a handful of tortilla wedges to the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the skillet. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- 4
Drain and Season
Using a slotted spoon, remove the chips from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. While still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.

Taste the salsa and adjust seasoning with more salt or lime juice if needed. Let the salsa sit for about 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
