Prepare the Glass
Start by chilling an old-fashioned glass by filling it with ice water. Set aside.

Mix the Drink
In a mixing glass, combine the bourbon, popcorn syrup, and bitters. Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir well until the mixture is chilled.

Smoke the Glass
Remove ice water from the chilled glass. Add a handful of smoked wood chips to a smoking gun and ignite. Direct the smoke into the glass for about 30 seconds, then cover it with a coaster to trap the smoke inside.

Strain and Serve
Strain the bourbon mixture into the smoked glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a cup of popcorn on the side.
