Fries Ingredients
Method
Cooking Directions
- 1
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to create fries.
- 2
Soak the Fries
Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps achieve a crispy texture.
- 3
Dry the Fries
Drain the soaked fries and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add a batch of fries to the hot oil. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- 6
Season the Fries
While the fries are still hot, season them with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss to ensure even coating.
- 7
Garnish and Serve
If desired, sprinkle fresh parsley over the fries for added flavor and serve hot.
