Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Make sure they are peeled and deveined.

  2. 2

    Slice the Garlic

Thinly slice the garlic cloves and set aside.

  3. 3

    Chop the Parsley

Finely chop the fresh parsley and set aside for garnish.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it is hot but not smoking.

  2. 5

    Cook the Garlic

Add the thinly sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until it becomes fragrant and lightly golden, stirring frequently to prevent burning.

  3. 6

    Add Chili Flakes

Stir in the dried red chili flakes and sauté for an additional 30 seconds to infuse the oil with heat.

  4. 7

    Add Shrimp

Carefully add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink, then flip them over.

  5. 8

    Finish Cooking

Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the shrimp are fully cooked and opaque. Season with salt to taste.

  6. 9

    Garnish

Remove the skillet from heat. Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the shrimp and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
