Method
Churros Preparation
- 1
Make the Dough
Allow the dough to cool slightly for about 5 minutes. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.
- 2
Heat the Oil
In a deep pot or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the temperature by dropping a small piece of dough into the oil; it should sizzle and rise to the surface.
- 3
Pipe the Churros
Transfer the churro dough into a piping bag fitted with a star-shaped nozzle. Carefully pipe strips of dough (about 6 inches long) into the hot oil, cutting them with scissors as you go.
- 4
Fry the Churros
Fry the churros in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown. Remove them using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
- 5
Mix Cinnamon Sugar
In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Mix well to ensure an even distribution.
- 6
Sauce Preparation
- 7
Serve with Dipping Sauces
Serve the freshly coated churros with your choice of dulce de leche, hot chocolate, or Nutella for dipping.
