Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mushroom Topping

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are soft and browned, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and soy sauce, cooking for an additional minute. Set aside.

  2. 2

Form and Cook the Burger Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal patties, about 1/3 pound each. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover to melt the cheese.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger buns if desired. Place each burger patty on a bun, top generously with the mushroom mixture, and cover with the other half of the bun. Serve immediately.
