Base Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Whisk the Eggs

In a mixing bowl, crack the three eggs and add salt and black pepper. Whisk together until the mixture is well blended and slightly frothy.

  2. 2

    Prepare Fillings

While whisking the eggs, you can prepare your fillings. Chop and dice any vegetables or meats you want to include, such as bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, or ham/bacon.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Allow the butter to melt and start to bubble but not brown.

  2. 4

    Cook the Eggs

Pour the whisked eggs into the pan, tilting the pan to ensure even distribution. Let it cook undisturbed for about 2-3 minutes or until the edges start to set.

  3. 5

    Add Fillings

Once the edges are set but the center is still slightly runny, sprinkle your choice of fillings evenly over one half of the omelette.

  4. 6

    Fold the Omelette

Using a spatula, gently fold the other half of the omelette over the fillings. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the omelette is cooked to your preference.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Omelette

Carefully slide the omelette onto a plate. You can garnish with additional herbs, cheese, or a sprinkle of black pepper if desired.

  2. 8

    Enjoy

Serve hot, and enjoy your delicious omelette with your favorite side, such as toast or a fresh salad.
