Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Patty

In a bowl, combine the Angus beef patty with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently to incorporate the seasonings.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patty

Form the seasoned beef into a round patty approximately 1 inch thick.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Place the beef patty on the hot grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

  2. 4

    Toast the Bun

During the last minute of cooking, place the burger bun or split English muffin on the grill or skillet to toast lightly.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Once cooked, place the beef patty on the bottom half of the toasted bun or muffin. Add desired toppings such as lettuce, tomato, cheese, ketchup, mustard, and pickles. Cover with the top half of the bun or muffin.
