Fries Preparation

Cut the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into even strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

Dry the Potatoes
Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.

Heat the Oil
In a deep pot or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the potatoes in batches to avoid crowding. Fry for about 5-6 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Season the Fries
Sprinkle with salt while they are hot.

Mix the Ingredients
In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth.

Chill
Refrigerate the sauce for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
