Caffè Infusion
Cocktail Mix
Method
Caffè Infusion
- 1
Prepare Coffee Infusion
In a large jar or container, combine 1 cup of ground coffee with 2 cups of Gray Whale Gin. Stir well to ensure all the coffee grounds are saturated with gin.
- 2
Infuse
Seal the jar and let the mixture sit at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours. This will allow the flavors of the coffee to infuse into the gin.
- 3
Strain
After the infusion time is complete, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or coffee filter into a clean container to remove the coffee grounds. Your coffee-infused gin is now ready to use!
Cocktail Preparation
- 4
Mix the Cocktail
In a shaker, add 2 oz of the coffee-infused Gray Whale Gin, 1 oz of Aperol, and 1 oz of Cocchi Storico. Fill the shaker with 1 cup of ice.
- 5
Shake Well
Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well-chilled.
- 6
Strain into Glass
Strain the cocktail mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.
- 7
Garnish
Garnish your drink with 5 coffee beans placed on the surface for an aromatic touch.
