Chicken Tenders
Honey Mustard Sauce
Method
Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into strips, approximately 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Breading Stations
In a shallow dish, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. In another shallow dish, whisk together eggs and milk. In a third shallow dish, place the bread crumbs.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dredge each chicken strip in the flour mixture, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat with bread crumbs. Press the crumbs onto the chicken to ensure they stick.
- 4
Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F).
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully place the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Remove the chicken tenders and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot.
Honey Mustard Sauce
- 7
Mix the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine honey, yellow mustard, mayonnaise, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- 8
Serve
Transfer the honey mustard sauce to a serving dish and enjoy it alongside the chicken tenders.
