Preparation
- 1
Rinse the Peanuts
Place the raw peanuts in a colander and rinse them thoroughly under cool running water to remove any dirt or debris.
- 2
Boil the Peanuts
In a large pot, combine the rinsed peanuts, water, and salt. Ensure the peanuts are fully submerged in the water.
- 3
Cooking Time
Bring the water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and cover the pot. Allow the peanuts to simmer for 2 to 3 hours, or until they reach your desired tenderness.
- 4
Check for Doneness
After 2 hours, taste a peanut to check for doneness. If they are not soft enough, continue to simmer, checking every 15 minutes.
- 5
Drain and Serve
Once the peanuts are cooked to your liking, drain them in a colander. Serve warm or at room temperature, and enjoy!
