Steak

Garlic Butter

Method

Prepare the Garlic Butter

  1. 1

    Make the Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add minced garlic cloves and a pinch of salt. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Set aside.

Prepare the Fries

  1. 2

    Cut and Fry the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick). Rinse the cut potatoes under cold water to remove excess starch, then pat them dry with paper towels. In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the potato strips in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from oil, drain on paper towels, and season with salt.

Cook the Steak

  1. 3

    Season and Cook the Ribeye

Season the ribeye steaks generously with salt and black pepper on both sides. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the steaks to the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare (internal temperature of 130°F to 135°F). Adjust the cooking time according to your preferred doneness. Remove from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Serve

  1. 4

    Plate the Dish

Slice the ribeye steak against the grain and arrange it on a plate alongside a generous portion of fries. Drizzle the garlic butter over the steak and fries. Serve immediately while hot.
