Method

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pasta

Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally.

  3. 3

    Drain and Set Aside

Once the pasta is cooked, drain it in a colander and set aside, reserving a small cup of pasta water.

Preparing the Vegetables

  1. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. 5

    Add Vegetables

Add the broccoli, bell pepper, zucchini, and carrot to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

  3. 6

    Add Cherry Tomatoes

Stir in the cherry tomatoes and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they are warmed through.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 7

    Combine Pasta and Vegetables

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Toss gently to combine.

  2. 8

    Season the Dish

Add chopped fresh basil, grated Parmesan cheese, and black pepper. If the mixture seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.

  3. 9

    Serve

Remove from heat and serve warm. Optionally, garnish with extra Parmesan and fresh basil.
