Method

Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patties

In a large bowl, combine ground beef or ground chicken, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until just combined.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal parts and shape each part into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F for chicken and 160°F for beef).

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover to allow the cheese to melt.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked patty, sliced tomato, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

Fries Directions

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.

  2. 7

    Season the Fries

In a large bowl, toss the cut potatoes with olive oil and salt until evenly coated.

  3. 8

    Bake the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
