Burger Patty

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions (6 oz each) and form into patties. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they reach your desired doneness. Place a slice of American cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Prepare the Toppings

Slice the tomato and onion. Wash and separate the butter lettuce leaves.

  2. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Spread the dijonnaise on the bottom half of a burger bun. Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on top, followed by dill pickles, tomato slices, onion slices, and butter lettuce. Top with the other half of the bun.

Frites Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips. Soak them in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry.

  2. 6

    Fry the Frites

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Season with salt while still hot.
