Prepare the Seared Ahi Tuna

Season the Tuna

Rub the Ahi tuna steaks with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Coat them with sesame seeds on all sides.

Sear the Tuna

Heat a skillet over high heat. Add a little olive oil and sear the tuna steaks for about 1-2 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from heat and let rest.

Make the Root Vegetable Slaw

Combine Ingredients

In a bowl, mix together the shredded carrot, rutabaga, daikon, apple cider vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper. Toss until well combined and let sit for 10 minutes.

Prepare the Pineapple Carpaccio

Slice the Pineapple

Peel and slice the pineapple into thin rounds. Drizzle with lime juice and sprinkle with chili flakes.

Make the Crispy Capers

Fry the Capers

Heat olive oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add the capers and fry until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Prepare the Salsa Verde

Blend the Ingredients

In a food processor, combine parsley, garlic, capers, olive oil, lemon juice, and salt. Blend until smooth.

Assembly

Plate the Dish

On a plate, arrange the pineapple carpaccio, top with the root vegetable slaw, place seared tuna on top, sprinkle with crispy capers, and drizzle with salsa verde.
