Panna Cotta Ingredients

Method

Panna Cotta Preparation

1

Prepare the Gelatin

In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over 3 tablespoons of cold water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.

2

Heat the Cream Mixture

In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, sugar, lime zest, and lime juice. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is hot but not boiling.

3

Incorporate the Gelatin

Remove the saucepan from heat. Add the bloomed gelatin to the hot cream mixture and stir until fully dissolved.

4

Add Basil

Tear the fresh basil leaves and stir them into the mixture, allowing them to infuse the panna cotta.

5

Chill the Mixture

Pour the mixture into individual serving glasses or molds. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

6

Serve

Once set, garnish with additional lime zest or basil leaves if desired and serve chilled.
