Cooking Pasta and Seafood

1

Cook the Linguine

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest.

2

Cook the Seafood

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until golden. Add the salmon fillets and cook until they are just cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the salmon and set aside.

3

Add Mussels

In the same skillet, add the mussels and red chili flakes. Pour in a splash of reserved pasta water, cover, and cook until mussels open, about 5-7 minutes. Discard any that do not open.

Combining and Serving

4

Combine Ingredients

Return the linguine to the skillet with mussels. Flake the salmon into large pieces and add to the pasta. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.

5

Garnish and Serve

Stir in the arugula, lemon juice, and parsley. Serve immediately with lemon zest on top.
