Wine Ingredients

Method

Wine Making Process

  1. 1

    Harvesting Grapes

Carefully harvest 2 kg of ripe Pinot Noir grapes from the vineyards in Elkton, Oregon. Ensure that the grapes are free from mold and any spoiled fruit.

  2. 2

    Crushing and Destemming

Remove the stems from the grapes and crush them gently to release the juice. This can be done using a wine press or a manual method. Collect the crushed grapes in a large fermentation vessel.

  3. 3

    Adding Ingredients

Add 150 g of sugar to the crushed grapes to enhance the sweetness. Sprinkle 10 g of yeast evenly over the mixture to start the fermentation process. This yeast will convert the sugars into alcohol.

  4. 4

    Fermentation

Cover the fermentation vessel with a clean cloth and allow it to ferment at room temperature for about 1 to 2 weeks. Stir the mixture gently once a day to ensure even fermentation.

  5. 5

    Adding Sulfites

After fermentation is complete, add 50 mg of sulfites to the wine to preserve it and prevent spoilage. Mix gently to ensure even distribution.

  6. 6

    Pressing the Wine

Once fermentation is finished, press the mixture to separate the liquid wine from the solids (grape skins). Use a wine press for this step and collect the wine in a clean vessel.

  7. 7

    Bottling

Transfer the wine into sterilized bottles, leaving some space at the top. Seal the bottles with corks and label them with the vintage and variety.

  8. 8

    Aging

Store the bottled wine in a cool, dark place for at least 6 months to allow the flavors to develop before tasting.
