Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the pork ribs for better flavor and tenderness.

  2. 2

    Make the Dry Rub

In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until well combined.

  3. 3

    Season the Ribs

Generously rub the dry rub mixture all over the pork ribs, ensuring they are well coated. Wrap the ribs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 5

    Prepare the BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.

  3. 6

    Bake the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover with another piece of foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.

  4. 7

    Glaze the Ribs

Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top foil. Brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce over the ribs. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes to caramelize the sauce.

  5. 8

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let the ribs rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
