Preparation and Assembly
Make the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
Roll and Cut
Divide the dough into smaller pieces. Roll each piece out to about 1/8 inch thickness. Cut into rectangles or squares.
Fry the Dough
Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the dough pieces in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Prepare Whipped Truffle Burrata
In a small bowl, whip the burrata cheese with a fork until creamy. Add a few drops of truffle oil and mix to combine, adjusting to taste.
Assemble the Dish
Serve the crispy gnocco fritto with slices of soppressata and dollops of whipped truffle burrata. Drizzle with lemon dressing before serving.
