Method
Bread Pudding Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the day-old bread into cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Mix the Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole milk, heavy cream, white chocolate chips, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- 3
Combine and Soak
Pour the wet mixture over the cubed bread. Gently fold the bread into the mixture, making sure all pieces are soaked. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the liquid.
- 4
Bake
Transfer the soaked bread mixture into a greased baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
White Chocolate Sauce Preparation
- 5
Heat the Cream
In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
- 6
Melt the Chocolate
Remove from heat and add the white chocolate chips. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the sauce is smooth.
- 7
Add Vanilla
Stir in the vanilla extract and mix well. Set aside to cool slightly.
