Espresso Ingredients

Method

Espresso Preparation

1

Grind the Beans

Start by grinding 18 grams of espresso coffee beans to a fine consistency, similar to table salt. This will help extract the rich flavors during brewing.

2

Prepare the Espresso Machine

Turn on your espresso machine and allow it to heat up for about 15-20 minutes. This ensures that the machine and the water are at the optimal temperature for brewing.

3

Tamp the Coffee

Place the ground coffee into the portafilter, making sure to distribute it evenly. Use a tamper to press down firmly and evenly, creating a smooth, level surface.

4

Brew the Espresso

Lock the portafilter into the machine and start the brewing process. Allow the water to flow through the coffee for approximately 25-30 seconds, aiming for a yield of around 30 ml of espresso.

5

Serve and Enjoy

Once brewed, pour the espresso into a pre-warmed cup. Enjoy it straight or use it as a base for other coffee drinks like lattes or cappuccinos.
