Chicken Wings
Honey Old Bay Glaze
For Frying
Method
Prepare the Chicken Wings
- 1
Clean and Dry
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water, then pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with salt and black pepper evenly.
- 3
Coat with Cornstarch
Sprinkle cornstarch over the seasoned wings and toss until well coated. This will create a crispy texture when fried.
Make the Honey Old Bay Glaze

- 5
Combine Ingredients
Stir in honey, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well and bring to a simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- 6
Set Aside
Remove the glaze from heat and set aside, keeping it warm until the chicken wings are ready.
Fry the Chicken Wings
- 7
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
- 8
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the chicken wings in batches, frying for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Make sure not to overcrowd the pot.
- 9
Drain the Wings
Once cooked, remove the wings using a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Toss the Wings
- 10
Combine with Glaze
In a large bowl, add the fried chicken wings and pour the warm honey Old Bay glaze over them. Toss until all wings are evenly coated.
- 11
Serve
Transfer the glazed wings to a serving platter and enjoy them hot!
