Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Onions

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions, salt, and sugar. Sauté until onions are softened, about 5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Braise the Onions

Pour in the Guinness beer, add black pepper, and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and cover, cooking for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally until onions are caramelized and tender.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Burger Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground Angus beef with salt and black pepper. Form into two equal patties.

  4. 4

    Cook the Burgers

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Toast the Buns

In a separate pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add brioche buns, cut side down, and toast until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burger

Place the cooked burger patty on the bottom half of the toasted bun, top with Guinness-braised onions, and cover with the top bun. Serve immediately.
