Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all the ingredients needed for the sandwich.

Assemble the Sandwich
Spread garlic aioli on one side of each slice of sourdough bread. On the unspread side of two slices, layer the ham, Swiss cheese, and japturd. Top with the remaining slices of bread, aioli side facing in.

Grill the Sandwich
Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Place the assembled sandwiches in the skillet and grill until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Serve
Remove the sandwiches from the skillet, slice in half, and serve with pickle chips on the side.
