Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and chop all the vegetables as specified. Make sure the broccoli is cut into small florets, the bell pepper is sliced into strips, the carrots are julienned, the snap peas are trimmed, and the zucchini is sliced.

  2. 2

    Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, cornstarch, and water. Whisk until the cornstarch is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Stir-Fry the Vegetables

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a splash of oil (if desired) and then add the broccoli, bell pepper, carrots, snap peas, and zucchini. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

  2. 4

    Add the Sauce

Pour the prepared sauce over the stir-fried vegetables. Continue to stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes, making sure all the vegetables are well coated and the sauce thickens slightly.

Serving

  1. 5

    Garnish and Serve

If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the stir-fry before serving. Serve hot on its own or over cooked rice or noodles.
