Prep the Bread
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette or Italian bread into 1/2-inch thick slices. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.

Toast the Bread
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and toast the bread for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Tomato Mixture

Chop the Tomatoes
Wash and chop the fresh tomatoes into small, bite-sized pieces.

Prepare the Basil
Stack the basil leaves, roll them tightly, and slice them into thin strips (chiffonade).

Mix Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes, basil strips, minced garlic (from the cloves), salt, black pepper, and balsamic glaze. Toss gently to mix.
Assembly

Top the Bread
Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice of toasted bread.

Serve immediately while the bread is warm, drizzling any remaining balsamic glaze over the top if desired.
