Method
Preparation of Steak
- 1
- 2
Grill the Steak
Preheat your grill or grill pan over high heat. Once hot, place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Preparation of Fries
- 3
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips to form fries. Rinse them in cold water to remove excess starch and pat them dry with a clean towel.
- 4
Fry the Potatoes
In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot (about 350°F or 180°C), carefully add the potato strips in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
Preparation of Side Salad
- 5
Prepare the Salad
In a large bowl, combine mixed salad greens, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced cucumber. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper to create the dressing.
- 6
Toss the Salad
Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine. Serve immediately alongside the steak and fries.
