Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Start by rinsing the salmon fillets under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels. Season both sides of the salmon with salt and black pepper. Trim the tough ends off the asparagus and set aside.
- 2
Make the Lemon Butter Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in lemon juice, chopped parsley, and season with salt and black pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cooking

Sear the Salmon
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Carefully flip the fillets and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through.

Cook the Asparagus
In the same skillet, add the asparagus next to the salmon. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, tossing occasionally, until tender and bright green.
