Method
Brownie Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars and Eggs
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar. Stir until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, and salt until evenly mixed.
- 5
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- 6
Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in the chocolate chips into the brownie batter.
- 7
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 8
Cool the Brownies
Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serving
- 9
Serve the Brownies
Cut the cooled brownies into squares. Serve each brownie warm or at room temperature topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
