Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Cook the Steak Tips
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of bacon fat over medium-high heat. Season steak tips with salt and pepper. Add to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- 3
Cook the Shrimp
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of bacon fat and blackened shrimp. Cook until shrimp are opaque and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- 4
Prepare the Sauce
In the same skillet, add the remaining bacon fat and butter. Add the minced garlic and chili flakes, sauté for 1 minute. Add the chopped asparagus and diced tomato; cook for 3-4 minutes until asparagus is tender.
- 5
Make the Cream Sauce
Pour in the white wine and scrape the bottom of the pan to deglaze. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, then stir in the heavy cream. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- 6
Combine Everything
Add the cooked pasta, steak tips, and shrimp to the sauce. Toss to coat everything well. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- 7
Serve
Plate the pasta and top with shaved parmesan cheese. Serve hot.
