Preparation

1

Juicing the Redcurrants

Wash the fresh redcurrants thoroughly. Using a juicer or a muddler, extract 1 oz of fresh redcurrant juice, discarding any seeds and skins.

2

Mixing the Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of Old Forester Bourbon, 1 oz of fresh redcurrant juice, 0.5 oz of pure maple syrup, and 0.5 oz of fresh lemon juice.

Shaking and Straining

3

Adding Bitters

Add 1 dash of Pimento Dram and 2 dashes of Aztec Chocolate Bitters to the mixture in the shaker.

4

Shaking the Mixture

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well-chilled.

5

Straining into Glass

Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass or coupe glass.

Garnishing

6

Adding Garnish

Garnish the drink with 5 fresh redcurrants and a lemon twist for an aromatic finish.
