Tuna Tartare Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sticky Coconut Rice

Rinse the sticky rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for at least 30 minutes. Drain and combine the rice with coconut milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until rice is tender. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for an additional 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tuna Tartare

Dice the yellowfin tuna into small cubes. In a bowl, combine the diced tuna with soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Gently mix to coat the tuna.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Avocado

Cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Dice the avocado into small cubes and season with a pinch of salt and lime juice.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Tartare

On a serving plate, place a layer of the sticky coconut rice. Top with the seasoned tuna tartare and then add the diced avocado on top. Garnish with pickled ginger and sprinkle sesame seeds over the dish.
