Budino Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Make the Budino

In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually whisk in the milk and heavy cream until smooth.

  2. 2

    Heat the Mixture

Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a gentle boil, about 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Temper the Egg Yolks

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks. Slowly add a few spoonfuls of the hot mixture to the yolks to temper them, then whisk the yolks back into the saucepan.

  4. 4

    Add Peanut Butter and Vanilla

Stir in the peanut butter and vanilla extract until fully incorporated. Remove from heat.

  5. 5

    Chill the Budino

Pour the budino mixture into serving cups and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Chocolate Ganache

In a small saucepan, heat ½ cup of heavy cream until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add 1 cup of chocolate chips. Let sit for 5 minutes, then stir until smooth.

  7. 7

    Assemble the Dessert

Once the budino is set, top each cup with a drizzle of chocolate ganache and a generous sprinkle of crushed Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
