Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Preparation

Remove the steak from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Seasoning

Generously season both sides of the ribeye steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and olive oil. Rub the seasonings into the meat for better flavor absorption.

  3. 3

    Searing

Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat until it starts to smoke. Add the ribeye steak to the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on one side.

  4. 4

    Flipping

Flip the steak and add fresh rosemary and thyme to the skillet. Continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare doneness.

  5. 5

    Resting

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  6. 6

    Serving

Slice the steak against the grain and serve immediately, optionally with your favorite sides.
