Beef Tartare Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Tartare

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced New York strip loin, chopped onion, minced garlic, and chopped capers. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Add the horseradish aioli and truffle oil, mixing gently until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Soft-Boiled Eggs

Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Carefully add the eggs and boil for 6-7 minutes. Once cooked, transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool, then gently peel the shells off.

  3. 3

    Crust the Eggs

Set up a breading station with a bowl of panko breadcrumbs. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Dip each soft-boiled egg into the panko breadcrumbs, coating evenly, and then fry in the hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Serve

To serve, place a generous portion of the beef tartare on a plate and top with the crispy panko-crusted soft-boiled egg. Drizzle with additional truffle oil if desired, and garnish with extra capers or herbs.
