Method

Brownie Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

  2. 2

    Melt Butter and Mix Sugars

In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Let the mixture cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

  5. 5

    Bake the Brownies

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  6. 6

    Cool and Cut

Allow the brownies to cool completely in the baking dish before cutting them into squares.

Assemble the Sundae

  1. 7

    Serve the Brownies

Place a warm brownie square in a serving bowl.

  2. 8

    Add Ice Cream

Top the brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

  3. 9

    Drizzle with Sauce

Generously drizzle chocolate sauce over the ice cream.

  4. 10

    Add Toppings

Finish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings if desired. Serve immediately.
