Mojito Directions
- 1
Prepare the Lime
Cut the lime into halves and then into wedges. Reserve two wedges for garnish.
- 2
Muddle the Ingredients
In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and the granulated sugar. Squeeze the juice from the lime wedges into the glass. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently press down on the mint and sugar to release the mint oils and dissolve the sugar. Be careful not to shred the mint leaves too much.
- 3
Add the Rum
Pour in the white rum over the muddled mint, lime juice, and sugar mixture. Stir gently to combine.
- 4
Add Ice
Fill the glass with ice cubes, leaving enough space for the soda water.
- 5
Top with Soda Water
Slowly pour the soda water over the ice until the glass is full. Give it a gentle stir to mix.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Garnish with the reserved lime wedges and a sprig of mint. Serve immediately with a straw.
