Fire Cracker Shrimp
Method
Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Aioli
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, Tamari sauce, lime juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined. Set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Shrimp
In a shallow dish, place the cornstarch. In another shallow dish, place the beaten egg. In a third shallow dish, place the panko breadcrumbs.
- 3
Coat the Shrimp
Dip each shrimp first into the cornstarch, then into the egg, and finally coat with the panko breadcrumbs. Ensure each shrimp is evenly coated.
- 4
Fry the Shrimp
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated shrimp in batches, without overcrowding the pan. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Serve
Serve the fire cracker shrimp hot with the Sriracha Chile Aioli on the side for dipping.
