Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Rub the pork shoulder with a mixture of smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- 2
Slow Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Add apple cider vinegar and water. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds.
- 3
Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and place it on a cutting board. Use two forks to shred the meat apart.
- 4
Mix with BBQ Sauce
Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix in the BBQ sauce. Let it cook on low for an additional 30 minutes to soak up the flavor.
- 5
Serve
Serve the pulled pork on buns or as desired, with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
