Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ham

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Place the ham in a roasting pan, and score the surface with a sharp knife in a diamond pattern. Mix the brown sugar and Dijon mustard to create a glaze. Spread the glaze over the ham.

  2. 2

    Bake the Ham

Pour water into the bottom of the roasting pan. Cover the ham with foil and bake for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until heated through and the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C). Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize.

  3. 3

    Make the Country Gravy

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until golden. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring continuously until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and black pepper.

  4. 4

    Serve

Slice the ham and serve it warm with the country gravy drizzled on top.
