Method
Preparing the Tea
- 1
Boil the Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.
- 2
Steep the Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
- 3
Remove Tea Bags
Carefully remove the tea bags from the saucepan and discard them.
Flavoring the Tea
- 4
Add Flavorings
Stir in 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and 2 teaspoons of stevia (or your preferred zero-calorie sweetener) into the brewed tea. Mix well until the sweetener dissolves.
- 5
Add Mint
Gently bruise the fresh mint leaves by pressing them with the back of a spoon, then add to the tea mixture. Allow the mint to infuse for about 5 minutes.
Serving the Iced Tea
- 6
Prepare Glasses
Fill two glasses with ice cubes (about 1 cup of ice in each glass).
- 7
Pour Tea
Pour the brewed tea over the ice cubes in each glass, ensuring an even distribution.
- 8
Garnish
Add a slice of lemon to each glass for garnish. Optionally, you can add additional mint leaves for a fresh touch.
