Meatballs Preparation

Mix Meats
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, and ground veal.

Add Ingredients
Add ricotta cheese, rosemary breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning to the meat mixture.

Combine Mixture
Mix until all ingredients are well combined, but do not overmix.

Shape Meatballs
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
Cooking Marinara Sauce

Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

Cook Onions
Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add Garlic
Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.

Add Tomatoes
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Bring to a simmer.

Simmer Sauce
Let the sauce simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cooking Meatballs

Cook Meatballs
Gently add the meatballs to the marinara sauce and cover. Let them simmer in the sauce for about 25 minutes, turning occasionally.
Serving

Plate Dish
Serve the meatballs hot, spooned over marinara sauce, alongside a slice of focaccia.
