Mix Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Form Meatballs
Using your hands, shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake Meatballs
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Finish Sauce
Once the sauce has thickened, stir in the chopped fresh basil and remove from heat.
Sandwich Assembly

Assemble Sandwiches
Slice the French rolls in half. Place a few meatballs on the bottom half of each roll, spoon over the marinara sauce, and top with a slice of provolone cheese.

Melt Cheese (Optional)
If desired, you can place the assembled sandwiches under a broiler for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.

Close the sandwiches, serve warm, and enjoy!
