Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare Your Hair

Start with clean, dry hair. Brush through to remove any knots and apply hair gel evenly throughout the hair.

  2. 2

    Create Curls

Using the curling iron, curl sections of hair for added volume and texture. Allow curls to cool before styling.

  3. 3

    Section the Hair

Divide the hair into three sections: top, middle, and bottom. Use hair clips to secure the top and middle sections while you work on the bottom.

  4. 4

    Style the Bottom Section

Gather the bottom section into a low ponytail, securing it with a hair elastic. Twist the ponytail and wrap it into a bun, securing it with bobby pins.

  5. 5

    Style the Middle Section

Release the middle section, and twist it into a loose bun above the bottom bun, securing it with bobby pins.

  6. 6

    Finish with the Top Section

Release the top section and style it as desired, either left down or twisted back. Secure it with bobby pins or elastics.

  7. 7

    Set with Hairspray

Once styled, mist the entire updo with hairspray to ensure it holds throughout the event.
